Hommage à la ville mère des Franco-Américains

La Nouvelle-Angleterre, qui accueillit les centaines de milliers de Québécois émigrés dans nos six États au dix-neuvième et au vingtième siècles, rend hommage à la ville mère des Franco-Américains qui vouent, encore de nos jours, leur fidélité aux valeurs ancestrales apportées aux États-Unis par leurs aïeux. Nous tendons une main d'amitié à nos voisins du Québec en nous associant à eux pour commémorer le 400ième anniversaire de la fondation de la ville de Québec qui marque le point de départ d'une présence française permanente en Amérique du Nord.

Homage to the mother city of Franco-Americans

New England, which welcomed the hundreds of thousands of Quebecers who emigrated to our six States in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, pays tribute to the mother city of Franco-Americans who continue, still to this day, to pledge their loyalty to the ancestral values their forebears brought with them to the United States. We extend our hand in friendship to our Québec neighbors by associating ourselves with them in commemorating the 400th anniversary of the founding of the city of Québec, the starting point of a permanent French presence in North America.
